Starting with a simple cylinder, Josh begins his spice jar.
JManningWorkshop
He throws a low bowl within a bowl for the lid;
JManningWorkshop
checks the fit of the lid to the cylinder;
JManningWorkshop
alters the lid with a cheese cutter to create an arching rectangular lid;
JManningWorkshop
cuts away sizeable chunks of clay from the bottom which he has marked using a protractor;
JManningWorkshop
extends his knife line up the side belly of the pot to create movement.
