| Starting with a simple cylinder, Josh begins his spice jar. |

| He throws a low bowl within a bowl for the lid; |
|

|
| checks the fit of the lid to the cylinder; |
|

|
| alters the lid with a cheese cutter to create an arching rectangular lid; |
|

|
| cuts away sizeable chunks of clay from the bottom which he has marked using a protractor; |
|

|
| extends his knife line up the side belly of the pot to create movement. |
