In this workshop students will learn about hand building an Oil Can Pitcher. They will expand their knowledge of different ways of finishing the surface of the piece by using stencils and layering underglaze colors on the clay to create a dynamic surface design. We will discuss size and proportion to ensure that their pieces work as a whole unit. At the end of the workshop, the student will have a finished piece, and the skills and inspiration to continue making more art. We will use cone 6 clay for the workshop.

This workshop is designed for anyone with a working knowledge of the basic techniques of creating a hand-built piece.
