Floyd Virginia based potter, Betse Dunham, has been making functional pottery for several years. A full-time insurance agent, she started making pottery part-time by taking classes at the Floyd Center for the Arts where she regularly volunteers. She is a member of the Blue Ridge Potters Guild and participates in their annual pottery show in Roanoke, VA.

Betse enjoys using vibrant, layered glazes that celebrate color, depth, and movement. Her pieces are both wheel thrown and hand built. She hopes that pottery hand crafted with mindfulness and care can elevate simple everyday moments.
